Weight loss is not one size fits all. Because we know that every body is different, our clinical team tailors nutritional and medical guidance based on your unique health history and goals.
Our Weight Optimization Program is administered by board-certified doctors committed to upholding the highest safety protocols. Additionally, we want all of our patients to be aware of the influx of unverified weight loss services that operate without clinical guidance and use off-brand medications that have not been approved by the FDA.
We all have goals when it comes to our health, and sustaining these goals requires holistic support. So, to help you reach and maintain your goals, we also grant program members access to Hudson’s complementary practices and services, like regenerative medicine, interventional mental health, and preventive wellness.

We do offer peptides (including semaglutide) without the inclusion of DEXA scans, nutritional guidance, and medical consultations. However, as our primary goal is always to ensure the health of our patients, we recommend consulting with doctors before beginning any changes to your health routine—especially when those changes may result in loss of body composition.
If you’re interested in purchasing semaglutide alone, please contact our Hudson Life team for more details about our initial consultation process.
Potential side effects of semaglutide may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation.
Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) analog + FDA approved treatment method
for improving glycemic control and weight loss in patients with Type 2 diabetes.
Essentially, semaglutide increases insulin secretion, which is good for controlling diabetes. At higher doses, it can act on centers in the brain to help suppress appetite. And when semaglutide is used in conjunction with lifestyle changes and a reduced-calorie diet, it can promote weight loss and, even, lower high blood pressure.
Some studies actually show that semaglutide may reduce appetite and food cravings in addition to improving glycemic control.
Here at Hudson Health, we offer semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic) or tirzepatide (Mounjaro) through two channels: our Weight Optimization Program and à la carte service.
Many patients can see significant and fairly rapid results. However, like any medication, results can vary.
It’s important to note that weight loss outcomes may depend on various factors, like your starting weight, lifestyle choices, dietary habits, physical activity levels, and individual response to the medication. While some individuals may achieve significant weight loss, others may experience more modest results.
Contemporary clinical trials evaluating the efficacy of semaglutide have demonstrated anywhere from 6% to 22.5% weight loss over a 28-week period, when administered in tandem with lifestyle modifications.
The most common semaglutide side effects include nausea, reflux, and constipation. However, most of these side effects are only temporary and tend to subside after adjusting to the medication.
Although rare, serious side effects are possible, including allergic reactions. As always, we recommend speaking to your doctor during your consultation if you are concerned about semaglutide’s risks or side effects.
If you are experiencing mild side effects, it may be a sign that your body is acclimating to the medication. However, if your side effects persist, or if you experience notable discomfort, or you are experiencing discomfort, please call or email us for clinical support. In that case, your provider may decide to adjust your dosage based on your tolerance.
If you are experiencing serious side effects, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room.
Semaglutide injections are typically self-administered (i.e. administered by you at home). However, to help guide you through the process we will give you access to a video of our team demonstrating proper injection technique.
You may stop your medication at any time.
Studies on semaglutide for weight loss show that a vast majority of people who take semaglutide—branded as Ozempic or Wegovy—do gain weight back within a year of stopping the medication.
Because it is so common to gain weight after stopping medication we have designed our program to include nutritional guidance and clinical recommendations that help to mitigate post-medication weight gain.
Our weight management medications include Semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic) or Tirzepatide (Mounjaro).
In addition, your doctor may prescribe peptides and supplemental medications support your progress.
A DEXA (Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry) is a state-of-the-art device that measures your body composition, including fat mass, lean mass, and bone density.
Tracking progress is crucial when starting any kind of new training or diet regimen. And your baseline DEXA results allow you to accurately measure fat loss and muscle growth over time. Plus, the scan also measures your visceral fat, indicating whether or not you are at risk of developing metabolic or cardiovascular conditions. You can learn more about DEXA here.
