What is a Complete Neuro-Reset?

The Complete Neuro-Reset is a specialized three-step procedure that re-balances your nervous system to induce life-changing mind-body improvements.

Stellate Ganglion Block

A minimally-invasive anesthetic that resets the sympathetic nervous system back to baseline levels.

Using advanced ultrasound imaging, a board-certified physician administers a local anesthetic into nerve bundles in the neck that are linked to the brain’s Amygdala, which regulates the fight-or-flight response.

The block gives a heightened sympathetic nervous system time to rest and reset at pre-stress or pre-trauma levels.

Vagus Nerve Hydrodissection

A minimally-invasive injection that resets the Vagus Nerve, the primary nerve along the parasympathetic nervous system, to enhance the nervous system’s reset-and-relax state.

Guided by advanced ultrasound imaging, a board-certified physician injects fluid around the Vagus Nerve to release pressure and create space, enhancing the nerve’s function and promoting relaxation. A de-compressed Vagus Nerve also facilitates the delivery of substances that can enhance nerve functioning, including exosomes, peptides, platelet plasma, and growth factors.

IV Ketamine Therapy

A dissociative anesthetic that can rapidly relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Chronic stress and depression have been shown to alter the neurotransmitter glutamate, making it more difficult for neurons to communicate. Ketamine triggers the production of Glutamate and the protein BDNF to stimulate neuroplasticity in the brain and improve neural communication. 5,6 By inducing neuroplasticity, ketamine infusions can also help people break free from depressive and anxious thought patterns.

Prevent stress from impairing your cognitive function.

Our fight-or-flight responses were not designed to withstand the never-ending cycle of stress in modern life.
Chronic stress doesn’t just affect your emotional wellbeing, it can have a lasting impact on your cognitive performance.
Numerous studies have shown that chronic stress impairs the prefrontal cortex, which is the area of the brain that carries out your higher order thinking abilities.

37% of people with elevated stress levels are more likely to have poor cognitive performance.1,2

When the brain perceives a threat, it activates a fight-or-flight response, releasing hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. 3
Stress
Cognitive Performance
This automatic response is designed to help us stay safe in the face of life-threatening danger, but over time has evolved to include non-life threatening stressors that have become synonymous with modern life: work, finances, family and social pressures.
The trouble starts when the brain continuously sounds the alarm, keeping our sympathetic nervous systems locked in a fight-or-flight perma-state.

What to Expect During Your Complete Neuro-Reset

Step 1.  Advanced Stellate Ganglion Block

The Stellate Ganglion Block first resets your sympathetic nervous system, giving your body a chance to calm down and rest after experiencing prolonged stress in a heightened fight-or-flight state.

Step 2.  Vagus Nerve Hydrodissection
Now it’s time to reset the parasympathetic side of your autonomic nervous system. Resetting the Vagus Nerve improves your body’s ability to rest and relax.
Step 3. 60-Minute IV Ketamine Therapy
With an agitated nervous system no longer standing in your way you can fully relax into a profound IV ketamine experience, which can improve your brain’s neuroplasticity and evoke subconscious insights.

Unsure about Ketamine?

We also offer a two-step Neuro-Reset without Ketamine IV.
If you’d like to experience the benefits of a Stellate Ganglion Block and Vagus Nerve Hydrodissection without a psychedelic infusion, the Neuro-Reset is for you.

Common FAQs

Stellate Ganglion Blocks typically involve injecting the Stellate Ganglion nerve bundle with a local anesthetic. Our evolved version also anesthesizes the Superior Cervical Ganglion. This technique was originally developed by the Stella Center’s Dr. Eugene Lipov. As a Hudson Mind advisor, Dr. Lipov personally trained our physicians in this technique. This technique has been proven to be more effective than the single-site technique utilized by most clinicians, most recently in a 2020 study.

A 2023 clinical study led by Dr. Sean Mulvaney found that 75.5% of patients with severe anxiety demonstrated clinically meaningful improvement 1 month after their Stellate Ganglion Block treatment. 7
The Generalized Anxiety Disorder questionnaire (GAD-7) was used to assess changes in baseline anxiety among all of the patients included in the study. The treatment resulted in a decrease of GAD-7 scores of over twice the minimal clinically important difference in treating anxiety for at least 1 month following SGB.

Alleviation of symptoms following treatment are typically immediate within 24 hours, and last anywhere from several months to several years. Each person has a different response to these blocks, however studies demonstrate meaningful improvements up to 3-6 months after the procedure. We encourage you to continue therapy during this period of time.
The Block is administered as an injection, so you will feel it. If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can also request conscious sedation. Any pain really depends on your pain tolerance, but we do everything we can to make you feel as relaxed as possible throughout the experience.
Following your Dual Sympathetic Block treatment, you will experience a temporary eye drooping and redness, congestion, and extra warmth in your face and arm. Don’t worry – these effects are expected and are a positive sign that the block is in the correct place. These symptoms typically last for 6-8 hours.

Other side effects may include hoarseness and difficulty swallowing. These usually resolve within hours as well. Our team uses two different imaging techniques to ensure accurate placement.

Yes! SGBs work well in conjunction with other treatments, like talk therapy or many of our other Interventional Mental Health services. You may find that this treatment actually accelerates your progression in therapy, because the reset of your sympathetic nervous system encourages a new sense of calm. In a calm state, you may be able to recall past traumatic events without feeling as though you are reliving and without sparking a fear response.

The Block does not remove your “fight-or-flight” response, or stop you from being able to recognize danger. Rather, this treatment softens your instinct down to an appropriate level that is manageable instead of overactive.

Bad trips are rare, but it is always possible that your journey may not feel pleasant. For some people, bad trips can feel like being trapped in a dark space while others relive their past traumas. If you feel at all anxious about your journey, rest assured that you will not be left alone. We regularly check in during your infusion and there is a call button available if you need assistance. Stopping or slowing the infusion is also always an option.
Traces of ketamine may be detected in your urine sample for about two weeks, in your blood for four days, and in your hair follicles for up to 90 days. It’s important to note that a chemical trace is not the same as chemical activity. The dissociative feelings induced by the treatment will wear off after about two hours.
Everyone’s experience is different. But you’ll likely feel calm and uplifted following a treatment. You might feel the dissociative effects of the ketamine for up to two hours after the infusion. Some people report feeling a bit light-headed and nauseous—especially when they are new to ketamine.
